$WILLS is the community token for 0xWills. It gives holders cheaper fees and a vote on how the project's treasury is spent. It is optional, it is not launched yet, and no will ever depends on it.

That last part matters more than anything else in this post. People trust 0xWills with what their family inherits. So the rule is simple: if the token went to zero tomorrow, every will would keep working exactly the same.

What the token never touches

  • Your will. The inheritance contract on your Safe has no token logic. Creating a will, checking in, confirming and claiming work the same with or without $WILLS.
  • Your heirs and verifiers. They never need to hold or buy it. A claim pays out to the heir's wallet whether or not anyone owns a single token.
  • The contract's rules. The WillModule contract has no owner and cannot be upgraded. Token holders can't change it, pause it, or move anyone's funds.

What the token does

  • Cheaper fees. Pay 0xWills fees in $WILLS for a discount, starting at mainnet. Paying in ETH or USDC always works too. The discount level is set before mainnet.
  • A vote on the treasury. Holders vote on audits, bug bounties, grants, marketing budgets and which chain the app supports next. Votes start off-chain and are carried out publicly.

ItemDetail
Supply1,000,000,000 $WILLS, fixed. No minting later.
LaunchOn Pons, Robinhood Chain's launchpad, on a public bonding curve. Everyone buys on the same curve.
LiquidityWhen the curve completes, Pons moves the liquidity into a Uniswap V4 pool where it is locked permanently. The team can't pull it.
Team and investorsNo pre-set allocation. The founder buys like everyone else, from a public wallet, and discloses it.
Trading fee1% per trade, split by Pons between the project and the platform. The project's share goes to a public treasury wallet, first for an external security audit.

When it launches

Not yet. The app is live as a testnet beta right now, and the token comes after people are actually using it. The order is product first, token second.

Beware of fakes: until launch day, any token called $WILLS is not ours. The only official contract address will be posted on 0xwills.com and pinned on @0xWillsHQ.

Our promises

  1. Heirs and verifiers will never need the token.
  2. No token logic will ever go into the will contract.
  3. No price talk. We describe what the token does, never what it might be worth.
  4. The founder's wallet, the treasury wallet and every treasury spend are public.
  5. You will never be told to buy the token to protect your family.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need $WILLS to use 0xWills?

No. The core app works without it, and heirs and verifiers never need it. The token only gives a fee discount and a vote on the treasury.

Can token holders change my will?

No. Holders vote on project matters such as treasury spending. They have no control over the will contract, your Safe, your plan or your funds.

Is $WILLS an investment?

No. It is a utility token. Tokens are risky and can lose all their value, and nothing here is a promise of price or returns.
