What is 0xWills?

0xWills is a non-custodial crypto inheritance platform built on Gnosis Safe. You configure beneficiaries, check-in rules, and verifiers — your assets stay in your Safe while you are alive and transfer automatically when verified conditions are met.

Is 0xWills custodial? Do you hold my keys?

No. 0xWills never holds your private keys or seed phrase. Your crypto remains in your Gnosis Safe under your control. Inheritance executes through a smart contract module — we cannot access or move your funds.

Do my beneficiaries need a crypto wallet?

Not when you set up your plan. You can add beneficiaries by wallet address or email only. If a transfer triggers, they receive guided onboarding — wallet creation, claiming steps, and support. Built for families who have never used MetaMask.

How does the dead man's switch work?

You check in periodically (default: every 90 days) with one tap to prove you are alive. If check-ins stop, a waiting period begins. Your trusted verifiers then confirm death independently. Once verified, assets transfer to beneficiaries per your configured split.

What if I miss a check-in by accident?

Missing one check-in does not trigger inheritance immediately. There is a configurable grace period and verifier confirmation step specifically to prevent false positives. You will receive reminders before any action is taken.

Which blockchains does 0xWills support?

The platform targets Ethereum, ERC-20 tokens, Base, Arbitrum, and Bitcoin via timelocked transactions. One plan covers multi-chain assets held in or connected to your Gnosis Safe setup.

Is 0xWills live on mainnet?

0xWills is in early access. The Q2 2026 investor demo runs on Sepolia testnet. Mainnet launch is targeted for Q4 2026. Join the waitlist to get early access and 3 months free.

How is this different from sharing my seed phrase?

Sharing a seed phrase gives someone full access to your crypto today — theft, divorce, and coercion risk. 0xWills uses multisig, verifiers, and timelocks so heirs receive funds only when verified conditions are met, without exposing your keys. Will I get a legal will document?

0xWills is building legally-aligned will documentation as part of the platform roadmap. On-chain execution and legal clarity work together — a paper will alone cannot move crypto, and an on-chain plan alone lacks legal standing. We are pursuing legal review partnerships for jurisdiction-specific documents.

How much does 0xWills cost?
